Hailing from Jaipur, Rajesh Kumawat is an artist who creates detailed and expressive pieces which has earned him national acclaim. Each intricate painting of his takes anywhere between 6 months to 2 years due to its fine details.

Starting from scratch, Rajesh Kumawat painstakingly crafts everything by hand, even making his own paper. He uses natural dyes which are meticulously ground from rocks and stones, in his home. The process begins with a preliminary drawing, followed by the application of base colors. He then transitions to mid-toned colors before adding darker values to the painting. Texture is slowly built, and every detail is outlined ensuring utmost precision and depth.
